in: unix system administration, database administration and tuning,
network administration, application design/development,
web design, and management consulting

Sole proprietor of the Malachiarts Recordings record label
- Jobtrak/Monstertrak.com - [08/98 to 05/01]:
Chief Technology Officer - directed: operations, development,
project/product planning, quality assurance teams.
Guided technology department throughout merger with Monster.com.
Still participated in all operations duties
(system/database/network administration and capacity planning).
- Jobtrak - [11/94 to 11/95, then again 08/96 to 09/97]:
Nathan Bradshaw and I wrote and designed the initial code to run
Jobtrak's web presence. The project involved: C and Perl CGIs, OCI,
SQL, tweaking httpd server source and the early design work.
Also took on their sysadmin duties for the Solaris and Hp-UX boxes
and Oracle(7-8) DBA duties for their web and accounting systems.
Grew the technology department from this initial seed of two,
to twenty-two, organized into the aforementioned teams:
(ops, dev, planning, qa).
- Self-Employed consultant - [11/94 to 11/95, 09/96 to 04/97]:
Unix programming and administration consulting services.
- "Platzgeist" at Art Center College of Design - [4/96 to 9/96]:
Coded an interactive cdrom for the
New Media
graduate school at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
- Fraserlab - [4/95 to 11/96]:
System/Network administration of an IRIX and NeXtStep cluster.
- BILRC - [10/94 to 1/96]:
System administration for the Beckman Institute Laser Resource Center:
IRIX, AIX, SCO, and windows/dos.
- Chemistry Animation Project - [03/94 to 09/94]:
Programmer/sysadmin for a group to produce educational chemistry
videos. The administration was of an SGI and RISC cluster and I also
used the TDI/Wavefront packages for modeling, rendering, and animation.
- LIGO - [01/93 to 10/93]:
Developed a transmission/ringdown experiment for LIGO
{Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave research Observatory}.
The experiment's purpose was to create a more accurate
map of a mirror surface by measuring its transmission and coating
loss at an array of points across its surface. The project needed
UNIX/C programming as well as familiarity with laser/optics operation
and serial communications with motor drivers and other optical
equipment.

audits, Mathematica, GL/Mesa, Glut, and OpenInventor progrmaming.
