    Managed a portfolio of 30+ contracts with volume of over $300M per year. Developed RFI and RFP materials for Intel-based server hardware and maintenance contracts. Managed 9-month long RFP bid and approval process in accordance with Broadlane's stringent corporate governance framework. Negotiated and executed contracts with volume of approximately $15M per year with three Tier-1 server vendors. Member of team that grew "IT contracts" business line from its birth to a volume of $250M per year over 3-year period.

    Generated reports from 80,000+ line datasets with MS Access to map historical purchasing patterns. Built Excel workbook models to project impact of adopting new contracts for laser printers at Broadlane's 2 largest customers over 3, 5, and 7 year periods. Wrote VBS subroutines to automate repetitive analysis tasks. Created PowerPoint presentations to communicate results.
  • March - September 2002: Project Consultant
    Used proven sourcing techniques to help the Broadlane team cut approximately 10% from the net cost of a 3-year, $100M technology purchase contract written for one of the largest health care companies in the US. This contract has since grown to include spend from other customers and currently supports more than $75M per year in volume. Used MS Access to mitigate the failure of the PO-Invoice-Payment triple match in the ERP system of a Broadlane customer, and managed a mailing-list conversion from Lotus Notes to MS Outlook.

    Qualifications:

    Previous employment has allowed me to gain experience in both the Windows and Linux software environments. I am comfortable with OpenOffice and with the use of common Linux CLI tools like cat and grep. I have compiled custom kernels, configured the X server for oddball graphics cards, and have a basic understanding of perl and sh scripting. I have built webpages that implement perl-cgi, server-side includes, and css stylesheets. I am familiar with all standard Microsoft office suite products, and have written VBscript applications specifically for MS Excel. I have experience with Microsoft Visio, Adobe Photoshop, and MacroMedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks.
