we got married
We were married at Stetson Chapel on the campus of Kalamazoo
College on May 22, 2004. The ceremony was beautiful. The thunderstorms
had put the lights out in neighboring counties the day before, and some of
our guests were evacuated from the Radisson hotel downtown. On the day of
the wedding itself, the rain held off until 2:30 or so, when they finally
kicked everyone out of Waldo's and Peggy and I were walking home across
campus.
None of that shows up in the pictures, except for the ominous
grey sky in the background of some of them. We were thrilled to be able
to celebrate our committment to each other with so many members of our
famililes and with so many friends from far away.
