july 30 2008 22:08 pdt classes start in less than three weeks. i guess i'd better get ready.
july 16 2008 23:15 pdt mom and dad are here for the next 10 days. today we dug up the back yard and re-planted everything worth saving. and during the 10 minutes while everyone was gone, the construction guys dumped 3 yards of dirt on the driveway in front of the house. as you can probably see in the photos to the right, we did a bunch of yardwork and then went to a local nursery to check out the plants they had on sale. not a whole lot of the stock was very compelling, but the new camera allowed me to take some cool photos of the local fauna.
tomorrow is a guided fly-fishing trip. and when we get back, i'll try to take photos of the backyard and everything else that we've changed since the last time i posted pics. so much is changing lately that it's hard to keep track. i sent darci back to her mom's house today with a pair of fig trees. let's hope that they have enough time to establish solid roots before the first frost comes.
